Recently, Sherri and Jodi have started working with students on pre-enrollment for the spring 2021 semester. We have had questions come up about immigration and classes for the spring semester.
Since we currently have a group of international students on-campus and a group taking courses online from their home countries, we felt it would be a good idea to hold a mandatory meeting next week to discuss information about immigration, pre-enrollment, etc. We also want to provide an opportunity to answer questions that students may have about the spring 2021 semester and beyond. The Director of International Student Services (who is well-versed in immigration policy) will be on hand to present current information and answer questions.
As I mentioned above, this is a required meeting, so please make it a priority to attend.

To our international partners and agencies: Please know that after the student meeting has taken place, we will provide slides of information to all of you, so you can then pass along the information to parents. Obviously, we want both students and parents to have as much current information as possible, that way they can make an informed decision about the spring 2021 semester and beyond. As most of you know, immigration policies not only effect a student’s current school (AMS), but policies can also have an impact on a student’s ability to study at their future university of choice. We feel it is important to educate students and parents about their options.
